Definition of Vendors vs. Exhibitors

Exhibitors are businesses, nonprofits, or individuals renting space from BETACON to display wares or provide information with no on-site sales. Vendors are exhibitors who intend to sell items at the convention.

The Event

BETACON (“the Convention” or “the Con”) is a three-day event.  The Convention will feature entertainment, public speakers and vendors. These guidelines pertain to BETACON, primary organizer of the Convention, and its offering of space on the Convention grounds.  BETACON reserves the sole right to approve the participation of any applying exhibitor or vendor. 

Your Space

Exhibitor/vendor spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  BETACON reserves the sole right to place exhibitors and vendors in any location BETACON deems appropriate.  Please note any special requirements on your application.

Your Participation

You are required to have your booth(s) open on Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Deviations from this policy may be negotiated with the Convention Vendor Chari or his/her designee.  You may set up your booth beginning at 12 p.m. the day of the Convention.  All vehicles except those specifically designated Convention Approved must be parked in the main parking area by 2:30 p.m.

Insurance Liability

It is highly recommended that you have proof of liability insurance present at your booth during the Convention. 


It is your responsibility to deal with any necessary permits and/or licenses required for sales in the Borough of Dunmore, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Sharing of Booth Space
Sharing of Booth Space is, in not permitted without prior approval of the Convention Vendor Chair.

Limitation to Stated Activities

You must limit our activities at the Convention to those you state on your application, which must pertain to your organization/business.  You must also limit the conduct of those activities to your booth space(s).  Sales or distribution of anything done by walking through the Convention grounds is not permitted without prior consent.

Product Duplication and Exclusivity

BETACON reserves the right to determine the number of businesses or organizations that exhibit or vend the same or similar products and/or services at the Convention. 

No Assumption of Endorsement or Affiliation

Acceptance as an exhibitor or vendor by BETACON does not imply endorsement or affiliation with the organization and/or individual.  The view expressed by exhibitors and vendors are not necessarily those of BETACON, its community partners or its sponsors. 


BETACON wishes to be as inclusive as possible in all of its events.  Please contact us with any issues that might prevent your group from fully participating in the Convention.

Failure to Follow Guidelines/Laws

BETACON reserves the right to remove you from the Convention grounds for failure to follow these guidelines, the instructions of Convention staff or the laws and regulations of Borough of Dunmore, County of Lackawanna, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or United States Federal Government.  This would occur without any refund or other compensation.
